Companion Care says Goodbye, Merging with Albuquerque Comfort Keepers

This week our CEO and Founder Janet Schuh announced she will be retiring from Companion Care on April 1st, 2017.

Jan has been looking forward to time off for many years of good behavior. She believes that being 82 years old is a good enough reason to retire, and has a long list of things she wants to do once she has the time to do them.

Jan, our CEO, and her daughter Paula, our CFO, have done an extraordinary job of guiding Companion Care for the past 13 years.

What will happen is a change in ownership for Companion Care, which will be merging with Comfort Keepers of Albuquerque, effective at the end of the month. The staff in the office, including care consultants and caregivers, will remain the same. The new owner Albert Bernal is committed to following the Companion Care model.

Everyone at Companion Care sends our appreciation for the support we’ve received and the friends we’ve made in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho communities. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, your families, and friends.
